How to Have a Day of Fun at the Naples Depot Museum

It may surprise our visitors to learn that the expansion of the railroad in Florida led to the creation of the city of Naples. At one time, it was believed that it was too difficult to travel to this beautiful area. While the area’s gorgeous weather and abundant opportunities for fishing and hunting drew the attention of many, access seemed impossible. That is, until the late 1920s, when the Tamiami Trail finally linked Naples to Miami and development could begin. Learn the full story of Naples’s origins and how the railroad helped create a city at the Naples Depot Museum!
