Yes, Naples does hold an annual Baconfest; this isn’t a premature April Fool’s joke, this is a real festival that is held every year, and for a lovely cause.
This festival is organized by Kiwanis of Pelican Bay and the Naples Airport, in order to help fund charity efforts that will benefit children and young adults all throughout Naples.
This charity event helps to raise funds for a good cause, but also will be great fun for the entire family!
So, what will you be able to see and do when you go to this event? There will be booths, two from local non-profits including Kowiachobee Animal Preserve and the Bird Gardens of Naples, and of local vendors, like the Naples Beach Brewery with a special bacon flavored beer, Brook’s Burgers, Beefstros Gormet Beef, Trail Café and Grill, The Bacon Jams, Agave, Lamoraga Restaurant and The Traveling Tomato just to name a few.
There will also be activities for the kids, like face painting, balloon tying, bounce houses, football throw, ring toss, cornhole, inflatable obstacles, rock climbing, and a photo booth just to name a few. There will also be live music, and a bacon eating contest!
Tickets are currently on sale on their website. Tickets online are $10, while at the front door they will cost $15. VIP Advanced tickets are also available online.
VIP Advanced Individual cost are currently on sale for $39.99, which were originally a $100 value. VIP Advanced Group tickets and table reserve are valued at $700, but are now on sale for $350.
Registration for the Bacon eating contest starts at $10 for small children, then $15 teenagers, and then $20 for adults.
