Looking for an indoor activity? It’s normal to have rain every day, for the greatest part in the afternoons during August and September becoming more scarce at the end of September.
Storm clouds typically gather in the afternoon, darkening the sky, then dumping their rain upon the parks, often accompanied by a fearsome show of lightning and thunder.

Typically it will rain in the late afternoon between 2pm and 6pm. Unless its a storm it will usually stop.

#1: Golisano’s Children’s Museum of Naples
The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is a two-story 30,000 square foot indoor cultural institution including permanent and temporary interactive exhibits galleries, Backyardville, a Family Resource Library, exploration rooms, Garden Cafe and Museum Store as well as space for staff, volunteers and ongoing operations. All facilities are designed to be fully accessible.
As much as we would like Naples to be beautiful and sunny for its residents 365 days a year, overcast skies and rain are an undeniable reality in any Florida vacation. However, have no fear — rainy days in Naples just became much more fun.
In fact, the new Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples or “C’MON” will have your kids hoping for a day of rain. This two-story, 30,000 square foot building offers 10 permanent and temporary exhibit galleries for children developed by experts in child psychology to foster curiosity, creativity, empathy and self-esteem through state-of-the-art technology. Kids leave this museum dreaming of their next visit, while adults leave with a feeling of satisfaction that their children just enjoyed a day of thought-provoking and educational fun.
C’MON summer camp in Naples
If your child just can’t get enough of C’MON, or perhaps if you need a break from your child, the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples offers very popular Monday – Friday day camps in the summer for kindergartners through sixth-graders. Camp runs from 9 to 5 (9 to 12 for Kinder Camp) and has varying themes each week, ranging from “Cool chemistry” to “Sculpture: form it your way.” Camps are administered by enthusiastic C’MON faculty who create a hands-on, structured learning environment for their campers. The cost for one week of camp is $500 per child.
Family Fund Days at the museum
Looking for a fun, kid-friendly family outing? C’MON may provide exactly what you are looking for. C’MON frequently hosts fun events such as sand-castle building contests on the beach or “family fun day” festivals. A list of upcoming events is on the C’MON website. Children with disabilities are also encouraged to participate in all that C’MON has to offer. Along with offering many different specialized technologies for physically disabled children such as wheelchairs, visual transition timers and noise-reducing headphones, C’MON hosts sensory nights once a month for children with autism.
The many indoor activities and learning opportunities that C’MON has to offer makes it a perfect place for children ages 2–10. Grandparents also take note: this a very fun, yet not physically demanding outing with the grandkids. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and children; infants under age 1 are admitted free.
#2: Bounce!
If you’re looking for a fun way for you and your family to get fit, then come to Bounce! You and your entire family can jump, train, workout and play indoor sports on massive courts of interconnected trampolines. Their facility contains multiple jumping courts of varying sizes and purpose including foam pits, multiple lane slam dunk basketball courts, indoor dodgeball courts, and an enormous main court.
#3: Coastland Mall
Coastland Center is an indoor shopping and dining destination in an area that offers a vibrant mix of cultural and entertainment attractions. Make the most of your visit and explore a variety of nearby indoor activities and entertainment.
#4: Revs Automotive Museum
The Revs Institute for Automotive Research, Inc. in Naples, Florida is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Revs presents the Collier Collection of over one hundred significant automobiles built between 1896 and 1995. The automobiles on display indoors at Revs are some of the rarest and most important cars ever built at anytime, anywhere.
#5: Naples Depot Museum
Set in Naples’ restored Seaboard Air Line Railway passenger station, the Naples Depot Museum welcomes visitors back to the railroading boom days of the Roaring Twenties and explains how generations of Southwest Floridians used technology and transportation to conquer a vast and seemingly impenetrable frontier.

Pistol calibers up to .44 magnum are allowed on the downstairs range, rifle calibers up to .30-06 on the Presidential range (requires Membership)
