Fakahatchee Strand Preserve

Located in nearby Copeland, the Fakahatchee Strand Preserve is the perfect destination for bike riding with your family. When you arrive, you’ll bring your bike to Janes Memorial Scenic Drive, offering approximately 11 miles of trails leading from the ranger’s station to Picayune State Forest. Along the way, you’ll have gorgeous views of the pine forests and cypress domes and might even spot some wildlife hiding in the trees! If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, there are a few off-road trails throughout the park as well. Just keep in mind that, depending on the season, some trails may become muddy or have standing water that you will want to avoid.

Collier-Seminole State Park 

Finally, located right here in Naples, is the Collier-Seminole State Park. This breathtaking attraction offers much more than just biking, biking throughout the park is a great way to get to all the other activities. To make your way through the 3.5-mile Prairie Hammock Trail, you’ll first need to register at the park ranger station. You can do so from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the winter or from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the summer. Once you’re registered, you’ll be able to bike along and look out for native birds, make your way to the Blackwater River for fishing, or even go geo-seeking along the way.
