Everglades Kayak Trails
The Everglades has several amazing kayaking trails. Whether you are a complete novice or an experienced kayaker, there is plenty to challenge you at Everglades National Park. Traverse the waters of the Nine Mile Pond Trail for a mid-sized loop of 3.5 to 5 miles. It takes about 4 to 5 hours to complete at a leisurely pace and provides plenty of opportunities to view birds, alligators, turtles, and fish.
If seeing the mangroves up close is high on your to-do list, you’ll want to try the Hell’s Bay Trail. This trail winds through the mangrove lined waterways for 5.5 miles each way. Block off 6 to 8 hours to complete this trail without rushing. Also, be aware that this area is prone to bugs, especially in the summertime.
