We had a wonderful time at this condo. The condo was clean, and there was plenty of room for everyone for our 10 day stay. Check in was super easy. All went smoothly, which is what you want on your vacation. The view was wonderful, and the beds comfortable in all rooms. Just a really pretty spot. Roomy kitchen, as well. There were a few “ tiny crazy ants” around but not much of a concern or bother at all. Super pretty place. So glad we stayed in this unit and in this location. Perfect for us.

This was a perfect home, great location for our family of 5 for a quick SW Florida getaway! We have stayed in many properties, and this home was truly the cleanest home I’ve ever seen! Well appointed and nice furniture and decor. Some of the neighborhood was older, but we felt totally safe and comfortable. The house was within 2 miles of the beach, restaurants and shopping. There were beach towels, beach chairs and coolers, which were perfect for us! The clean pool and covered outdoor area were a welcome relaxation area when retuning home every afternoon/evening. Check in/ check out were super easy. Welcome basket with some items on arrival, and there was no long list of check out chores to be done, which was a huge plus! We are looking forward to returning! Thank you!

Nice house... Well decorated, comfortable beds, great pool. Lacked a few "standard" kitchen items and the ice maker never worked but other than that, a great stay. 5 minute drive to the beach.

Awesome hosts! Great place to stay, right around the corner from the beach and all the restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!

Counting Pelicans was hands-down one the best Airbnb's I've ever stayed at. The location is perfect (the 4th house back from the beach). You can walk to and from the beach as easy as possible. The street is a quiet residential one. Lots of cute dogs tho :) The kitchen is really well stocked. We cooked most of our meals easily. There were only 4 of us, and everyone was thrilled to have their own room. But we could have easily fit double the people. Having two porches is so fun-- you can follow the sun or the shade. The beds and the furniture were all comfortable and unique. We loved the beachy decorations! It truly felt like being a guest in someone's very well-cared-for home. So many other reviewers have already said this, but I can't wait to come back next year (I hope)!

My husband and I had such a great time at the Honu Hut! Chelsey & Darren have a great place in Kill Devil Hills and we love all the details they have incorporated to make it feel cozy! We loved having access to bikes and how close we were to restaurants, coffee shops, and the beach. The space was clean, and we had a super easy check-in. We will definitely be visiting again, especially to see Tyson, their friendly boxer :)

The Honu Hut is the perfect little place to stay in OBX! Chelsey and Darren have truly thought of everything to make it a perfect stay! The location is a short walk from the beach and the sound!

The location was very pretty, had minor issues but was quickly resolved by maintenance and the manager of the resort came by to show us where a reset button was which was very good customer service! We would come back again 😊

Check-in was super easy.
Colorful and super clean, we had everything we needed for our stay. The location couldn’t have been better, just a few steps to the beach access, we could not have asked for more!
The place was spacious, yet cozy. Even with the 6 of us, we had plenty of personal space.
The kitchen was great for cooking meals, the full sized washing machine and dryer were perfect for washing our beach towels and clothes.
Brittany was a perfect responsive host. Tried booking again for next year, but the dates have not been opened yet!

Beautiful home, clean, and very convenient location! We had 9 people in the group and there was plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back!

This place is absolutely amazing. Its close proximity to everything from restaurants, the beach, even the Brew Thru, and mini-golf was awesome. The room's decor and comfort were spot on and even having beach bikes and beach chairs was such an awesome touch. Chelsey & Darren themselves were incredibly friendly and so helpful. Would recommend their place a 1000x over to anyone wanting to stay in OBX. Jen & Kris July 2021

The house was wonderful and clean. There was a little noise on the saturday morning from the constuction taking place next door which started at 7am. However this is out of your control but still affected our stay. Overall the house was clean and spacious and included a lot of great amenitites we enjoyed.

We were so pleased with this comfortable and lovely house. We cooked meals for 7, and had everything we needed. All the furnishings and household items were useful, plentiful, thoughtful and clean.

This is our second stay at Counting Pelicans and as expected, it was great! The location is perfect - about a half block to the beach on a quiet street. The owners have updated the kitchen and added some other improvements since our last stay about 3 years ago. The house is well cared for, clean, and had everything we needed. We love the artistic touches in and outside of the house. There were a total of 4 adults and 5 children staying there and we had plenty of room. The owners responded promptly to all messages. We will definitely plan to stay there again! Great place!

I chose this property primary because it was advertised as fenced and had the pool. There is no fencing?? And don't look for a hot tub either. Maybe that's at other location with fence. Only bushes so the dogs couldn't run outside. Traveling with service dog he needs to run when not working and this was a huge fail false advertising The pool deck was covered in black mold. There was no enjoying the pool area with that smell of mold. There were other issues also toaster broken no gas in grill lawn so over grown. Not fun when you have to walk the dogs in tall wet grass. Three attempts to contact management. Finally Maintence replied he was really nice had new toaster and gas delivered next next. But we was only planning on grilling the one day. But thank you for trying to fix some of the issues. The inside furnishings are fine. Bring your cleaners cause there isn't any. Also don't forget to bring pillows and xtra blankets. The fence and pool were unacceptable which made this house the worst I ever stayed at..

Contact was great in preparation and as we arrived at the property. Minor issues were corrected very quickly.

House was great and there were a number of items in the garage we could use for the beach.

The property was clean and close to downtown Naples.

Couple items to address:
1. Patio door is hard to open
2. Outlet not working in master bathroom where blow dryer is
3. Blinds in master bedroom need repair

Chelsea and Darren were amazing hosts! We had a great stay in the Honu Hut. The house was adorable with the most amazing detailed touches. Darren and Chelsea put hard work into their home and it shows. The location is great, the home was super clean, and everything was perfect. We took the bikes down to watch the sunset, which was so beautiful. We loved getting to meet their dog Tyson, and enjoyed so much getting to chat with them in the evening. As a couple that loves Hawaii—the house took us back to our favorite islands. They both had awesome recommendations for food! We also recommend going to OBX yoga for beach yoga at the pier and grabbing a bite of Crumbl cookies!
